The NC Public Health Foundation oversees the implementation of many different programs and contracts within the NC Division of Public Health. The financial support for these comes from a variety of organizations including The Duke Endowment, Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust, Rex Endowment, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina Foundation, National Association of Chronic Disease Directors. The programs range from providing lifestyle intervention programs to help young children manage/prevent diabetes to planning and implementing interventions for pandemic influenza.
